July 2024 Updates

Changes in Booking.com manegement

Deposit management on Booking.com

 The option has been enabled to choose whether the deposits are managed by Booking.com or by the manager. To configure it, you need to access the PMS Management section. Then, Registration and descriptions and go to the Reservation section. In the section where the deposit is configured, a new field has been added: Who manages the deposit, which allows you to choose whether it is managed by Booking.com or by the manager. In the case of choosing Booking.com the new bookings will enter with the deposit already paid and the guest will not be asked for it.



Commission with or without VAT on Booking.com

 An option has been added to choose whether Booking.com commissions include VAT. To activate this option, you need to access the Channel section of the PMS. Then go to Connection settings and choose Booking.com. There you will find a new field to choose whether the commission is with or without VAT. By saving the property ‘with VAT’ the new bookings will be entered with the Booking.com commission including VAT. Booking.com's new VAT policy only affects properties for private individuals and, for the moment, only applies in Spain. However, we have left the field active in case this measure applies to other countries in the future.



Percentage of Booking.com's booking collection management

We have added a new field to indicate in each property the extra percentage that Booking.com charges when managing the payment of bookings. To find it you must go to the Channel section, then to Connection settings and choose Booking.com. This field must be completed property by property if the platform charges you this fee. Otherwise, it will be enough to leave 0% indicated.




PMS News

Display of active stays

We have implemented an improvement in the PMS to allow real-time display of active stays in your properties and to be able to know the actual occupancy data of each day. To access the data, it is necessary to go to the Bookings menu and then access the section Planning stays.
